Dr. Strange? Paging Dr. Strange! Please pick up!
So, there have been a lot of rumors that Jon Hamm might be in consideration for the part of Dr. Strange in the upcoming Marvel movie, and while we’d love this casting choice to be a reality, what does Jon have to say about these rumors?
In a recent interview, Jon gave us reason to feel happy and sad all at once, like, sadder than sad Don Draper levels of sad. Here’s what he had to say about the speculation:
“The funny thing about the internet is that you can have rumors go on about possible jobs and possible things that I had no idea…maybe. I don’t know. You know, it’s funny when the internet knows more about you than you do but…maybe the internet was talking to Marvel, I don’t know. No, I certainly wasn’t approached by it, but I do like Dr. Strange. He’s a very cool, cool character.”
So, Jon hasn’t been approached, but he IS interested in the character! Hey, he said “cool” twice, after all! That’s got to be a sign of something, right?
Well, we hope he ends up earning his doctorate and gets the part! He can give us a full examination any day of the week!
