Josh Hutcherson Teams Up With The Trevor Project & Others To Help Low-Income LBGTQ Connect With Their Peers!

josh hutcherson lgbtq power on campaign involvement
Josh Hutcherson just got hotter, folks. There’s just something about guys who are involved in AH-Mazing organizations and campaigns!
SWOON!
The Hunger Games actor is teaming up with the likes of The Trevor Project, Straight But Not Narrow, and HumanI-T in a new campaign called Power On to help low-income LGBTQ youth get access to digital devices.
In today’s world, many young adults use the internet to meet like-minded people and be a part of a digital community.
For LGBTQ youths who have yet to come out to their families use this process to connect with others in the LGBTQ community.
In joining forces with these organizations, Josh’s campaign is hoping to encourage teens across the U.S. to donate their old and unused digital devices so that they may be refurbished and distributed to LGBTQ resource centers for other LGBTQ youths to have access to.
The actor even led by example by giving up his own laptop to the cause!
He said:

“It’s awesome to know that it’ll be used to help a young person out there who, before this campaign, wasn’t able to get access to information and resources that could really help them. I’ve always respected the work that The Trevor Project does, and to have an opportunity for Straight But Not Narrow to collaborate with them on a campaign like Power On is exciting.”

What a great cause to be involved in!
Those who are interested in donating may do so from now until Spirit Day on October 16th.
