Well, this is probably soooo not what the Beliebers want!
It turns out, the insane fandom for Justin Bieber found their love backfiring on them!
While Beliebers were surely stoked to see their king take to the red lavender carpet for his big premiere, it looks liked they got a little too caught up in the excitement and caused enough major problems that Justin skipped doing interviews on the press line!
According to reports, the fire marshall ended up having to temporarily shut down the premiere due to the chaos and safety concerns. Fans also rushed the theater lobby, which led to marshalls kicking people out of the theater.
LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey commented:
“At the end of the purple carpet there was a surge of fans that broke through the barrier and into the lobby of the Regal. The lobby was secured by LAPD and site security staff. Our inspector oversaw the effort to calmly remove all persons from the lobby over a 20-minute period. Both ticketed and un-ticketed fans were removed. They then re-admitted properly ticketed patrons to enter the theater. There were no injuries.”
We’re not sure this was the exact cause, but the Biebs ended up not conducting interviews with press! However, he did supposedly talk with MTV where the premiere held their official livestream…
…but even that interview has since been taken down from the site!
Maybe he didn’t want to go on record about his rumored retirement anymore? Or maybe he realized Selena Gomez didn’t care to hear about his undying love??
Whatever it is, we’re guessing his loyal Beliebers will understand.
