Is Katy Perry the frontrunner to play Cher in a Clueless musical? Because we are totally butt crazy in love with that idea!
Director Amy Heckerling has been hard at work on the Clueless musical for months.
And though she’s still in the “early stages” she’s already thinking about who could possibly play the coveted role of Cher.
But who knew she would drop the biggest name in the game on us? She said:
“Katy Perry has expressed interest, and I love her to death.”
Whaaaa?
That would be crazy amazing! We mean, obviously, she’s a little old to play a high schooler but hey, it’s Broadway! They can make it work!
Speaking of making it work, Amy also had some kind words for Iggy Azalea‘s Clueless-inspired Fancy video. She said:
“It looked like they had more money for the video than I had for the movie. But I was extremely flattered and I thought she was amazing. And whoever did the costumes, I don├óΓé¼Γäót know how they did that.”
How did they do it? That movie is so iconic, they could probably redesign the outfits with their eyes closed! We can’t WAIT to see what they do for the stage!
