Kesha Gets A Makeunder And Talks Her New Lease On Style With Teen Vogue

Wow! We’re loving Kesha‘s understated look on the August cover of Teen Vogue!
She looks fresh-faced and totally on-trend in a denim button-down and black pussy bow tied around the collar. It’s like a discount Saint Laurent look!
Which makes sense since most of the mag’s readers are too young to afford Saint Laurent. And there’s even a second Saint Laurent-inspired look created with a silver Emporio Armani blazer and Anne Fontaine pussy bow blouse!
In another shot, the 27-year-old looks glamorous in a dotted Guess coat with her hair teased into a sexy bedhead style! This editorial may actually be a first glimpse into Kesha’s makeover ever since she returned from rehab. The singer admits she’s going for a less ostentatious look, saying:

“The insanity is not gone forever; it’s still there. I’ve only decided to wipe off all the face paint and try to wear beautiful dresses instead of completely insane things. I want to be more conscious of fashion because it’s an art form. Growing up relatively poor in the South, I closed myself off from it because it was so far out of my reach.”

She also talks about hating to be called pretty in the past. She explained:

“I remember thinking, I don’t want to be pretty. Don’t call me pretty. If somebody called me that, it was almost offensive├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥I would put on more eyeliner or draw things down my face. There was a defining moment about six months ago├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥I think it was a breakup├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥where I decided that maybe I do want to try to be pretty├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥I want to just try.”
