As to be expected, former basketball star Lamar Odom is taking the death of his friend Jamie Sangouthai very hard, according to reports.

Odom, a 35-year-old now separated from Khloe Kardashian, was apparently in Las Vegas when he heard the news, which a source related:
“When he found out Jamie died, he was devastated. He feels like it could have happened to him. This is a huge wake-up call for him. It has really shaken him… They were best friends, like brothers. Lamar is going to take this really hard.”
To imagine someone hurting so badly just breaks our hearts.
Now, the Kardashian fam is worried the untimely death may spiral Odom further into his own personal issues, which in the past have included drug problems.

Sources speaking to reporters highlighted the family’s concern that Lamar, while hopefully seeing Jamie’s death as a wake-up call, may still be so affected by it that his own addiction issues will come to the forefront again before he can get help.
Obviously, our thoughts are with everyone around Jamie during this very tough time for his family and friends, and we hope Lamar gets the help and support he needs to deal with this tragedy.
