The world lost Kurt Cobain over two decades ago, and the pain is still fresh for those closest to him.

For Courtney it was all about her late husband, as she tweeted a throwback photo saying “the universe always rips open on this day.”
She posted:

Frances did something a little different to carry her poppa’s legacy.
She posted a snippet of her first ever original song to Instagram Wednesday night!
In the brief clip, she sings lyrics that definitely sound like they’re about Kurt:

“I think I saw you when I was small
I think I found you
A penny for your good thoughts
I think I found you
Jesus hangs in your place on the cross
All these hinges become unscrewed
Heaven knows it was a cage on earth.”

In the comments section, she reveals more lyrics, saying there’s “a very freaky deeky line that goes ├óΓé¼╦£stable sable sold her heart/ no one asks her why she hides it in a casket in her house in a box/ find a fiend who reigns supreme in may/ fast enough for blooming buds to lay their eggs.'”
OK, those lyrics we wont even try to decipher.
Sadly, she seems to have taken the post down. But we can’t wait for her to be ready to release a full version!
This is her first original, but it isn’t the first time Frances has treated the world to her vocal stylings.
