About time, Lauri Peterson!
As we reported in June 2016, the Real Housewives of Orange County star’s son Josh Waring was arrested after he allegedly shot Daniel Lopez in the torso at a sober living home. After the alleged altercation, Waring attempted to flee the scene in a stolen BMW SUV where he crashed, tried to escape on foot, and eventually surrendered himself to authorities.

He was charged with three counts of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a firearm, and one count each of discharging a firearm at an inhabited dwelling, assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, unlawful taking of a vehicle, evading a peace officer/reckless driving, hit and run with property damage, resisting a public or peace officer, and battery.
On Thursday, Peterson went on Twitter to finally comment on her son’s legal drama. She wrote:
After keeping silent for nearly 2 years in regards to my sons arrest, I am going to begin laying out the facts of his case and how easily it is to be falsely accused!

you will get facts only! I promise!

I will lay out the facts starting from the day of the arrest. I’ll let you be the judge but it is going to take me time to organize and far to lengthy for one tweet.

yes, I am working on that!

The reality TV starlet also tweeted an article from OC Weekly News where author R. Scott Moxley suggests a man named Bryan Jason Goldstein was also at the scene of the crime but “managed to quickly win police exoneration.”

if you read the story that I tweeted previously by Scott Moxley from @OCWeekly you will get an abbreviated summary. He understands this case and although there were a couple of minor mistakes, he is the closest to the truth that I’ve seen so far. Much more to come.

In January 2018, Waring’s attorney Joel Garson claimed Goldstein received “special treatment,” according to the Los Angeles Times.
Despite her son’s legal woes, Peterson says Waring is sober, which has been a “silver lining in this injustice.”
RT @zoogirl123: @LaurifromRHOC More importantly, is he sober? 🙏🏼 yes! His sobriety is the silver lining in this injustice! It is what keeps me going!

In November 2016, Josh was busted for having prison wine in his jail cell, and was booked for possession of contraband in a correctional facility.
Peterson was last seen on RHOC in 2013.
