Little Big Country made a hit single called Girl Crush, that’s about a girl who is jealous off her ex’s new girlfriend. But the country radio-listening audience refuses to realize that and have demanded the lesbian song be taken off the airwaves.

Ridiculous! There’s a line that says:
“I want to taste her lips, yeah cause they taste like you / I want to drown myself in a bottle of her perfume/I want her long blond hair, I want her magic touch / Yeah cause maybe then, you’d want me just as much. . . I got a girl crush.”
Boise morning show co-host Alana Lynn has been asked not to play it in the mornings when kids are going to school, or at all, or listeners will boycott the station. But every other country love song is okay… how does that make sense?!
People have accused stations of “promoting the gay agenda” even though, we repeat, this is a song about same sex love. But even if it wasn’t, so what!
The group sat down to talk about their Top 10-charting song with syndicated radio personality Bobby Bones who asked:
“Is it frustrating to you that here is your song ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ that is one of the Top 10 sellers for weeks and weeks and weeks ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and people on the radio are still afraid to play it because they think it’s a ├óΓé¼╦£lesbian song?’ It would drive me insane!”
They responded:
“Just the fact that we’re still discussing that, number one, there’s so many problems with that whole issue.”
Hopefully country music fans pull their heads out of their butts and see this song for what it is: a great piece of music!
