Will the creator of Ballers please stand up?!
Recently, Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and HBO are being sued for allegedly stealing the idea of the cable series!

According to legal docs, writers Everette Silas and Sherri Littleton claim they had the idea for the sports comedy way back in 2007.
The two say they were about to cut a deal with Wahlberg, Johnson, and their manager in 2009 until they asked for “Created By” credits.
Silas and Littleton believe there are way too many similarities between the two projects. Both are about the lives of football players on and off the field, both are set in Miami, and both center around African American athletes.
Furthermore, they claim the title Ballers was taken from one of their episode titles.
The plaintiffs are seeking unspecified damages.
According to a rep from HBO:
“We are confident the case has no merit.”
The show has been renewed for a second season.
