Is the OG nanny coming back to the big screen!?
Disney hasn’t been shy with announcing which of their beloved films will be getting the remake treatment — but this one took us by surprise!
It’s been reported that the House Of Mouse is making a live-action musical remake of Mary Poppins!
The studio is currently developing the project with Chicago director Rob Marshall, who also worked on the 2014 Disney musical feature Into The Woods! The film will feature original songs from the Hairspray songwriting duo Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman!

Most of the plot is still under wraps, but according to inside sources it will take place in Depression-era London, about 20 years after the 1964 classic, and will contain elements from other Poppins stories from the book series of author P.L. Travers‘ (who was played by Emma Thompson in 2013’s Saving Mr. Banks!)
We already have so many questions!
Who will play everyone’s favorite flying nanny!? Will they shorten “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” for time restraints?
And, most importantly, will Julie Andrews make a cameo? Only time will tell!
