A couple months ago, a rumor hit the Internet that porn actress Mia Khalifa was HIV positive.
Seems not just false but pretty obviously false, as the report that started it all claimed the industry was in fear of an outbreak — and Mia got out of the porn game way back in 2015.

But there are two things we know to be true about the Internet, and the first is that rumors NEVER die. So just days after news broke of an industry-wide shutdown over a possible HIV diagnosis, here we are again.
This time, Khalifa is trending WORLDWIDE over the rumors.
So the social media personality — known better these days for her sports commentary — decided to joke about it, writing:

For those not in the know, that’s Danny DeVito from this season of It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia pretending to have AIDS to get to the front of the line at a water park.
Then when a friend responded, Mia wrote back with another quip:

A lot of folks on Twitter took this to be a confirmation of the rumor, because the second thing we know about the Internet is that a lot of people don’t understand irony.

Obviously, we don’t approve of joking about HIV/AIDS, but if you’re the target of rumors, we have no problem with you joking about ignorant people’s perception of you.
