Michelle Obama Reveals Daughters Were Conceived Through IVF & What She’ll NEVER Forgive Trump For In New Memoir!

Michelle Obama memoir

Michelle Obama did a wonderful job of teaching us how to go high when they go low, particularly when it came to Donald Trump’s racist rhetoric during the 2016 presidential campaign.
But in her new memoir, Becoming, the former First Lady reveals just how hurt and disgusted she was by one of Trump’s cornerstone conspiracies about her family — one that she’ll “never forgive him” for.

Deep in the 426-page book, which will be released on Tuesday, the mother of two doesn’t hold back her disdain for the current U.S. President, who she believes put her family’s safety at risk with his endless promotion of the false birther conspiracy.
Recalling how Trump peddled the false theory that her husband Barack Obama was not a natural born U.S. citizen and, therefore, ineligible to be President, the 54-year-old writes:

“The whole [birther] thing was crazy and mean-spirited, of course, its underlying bigotry and xenophobia hardly concealed. But it was also dangerous, deliberately meant to stir up the wingnuts and kooks. What if someone with an unstable mind loaded a gun and drove to Washington? What if that person went looking for our girls? Donald Trump, with his loud and reckless innuendos, was putting my family’s safety at risk. And for this I’d never forgive him.”

We do not blame you, girl.
Obama’s memoir is divided into three parts: Becoming Me, Becoming Us, and Becoming More. In the last section, the Princeton grad opened up for the first time about her and Barack’s struggle to get pregnant.

Not only did she intimately share that she suffered a miscarriage in her 30s, Obama also revealed that both their daughters, Sasha and Malia, were conceived through in vitro fertilization — a process she had to deal with largely on her own, as her husband was away serving in the state legislature at the time.
The ex-FLOTUS spoke on this section in a little more detail during a GMA interview to promote the book. Recalling feeling “lost and alone” after her miscarriage 20 years ago, she explained:

“I felt like I failed because I didn’t know how common miscarriages were because we don’t talk about them. We sit in our own pain, thinking that somehow we’re broken…I realized that as I was 34 and 35. We had to do IVF.”

Due to her husband’s absence at the time, Obama said she had to administer the shots that are a part of that process herself.
Wow. There’s really nothing this woman can’t do… aside from forgiving awful people for endangering her family.
