This whole 4th of July weekend, you’ve probably heard The Star Spangled Banner umpteen times. But what if the fireworks exploded to the strains of Miley Cyrus instead?
That’s what would happen if a politically-minded group of Smileys had their way! The Mileybird chicks have created a petition to replace the iconic tune with Party In The U.S.A.!
But is America ready for a national anthem referencing Jay-Z and Britney Spears?? It doesn’t look that way.
The video may have over 340,000,000 YouTube views, but so far the petition has only garnered about 400 of the 100,000 necessary to garner a response from the White House.
Miley fans have three weeks to get the other 99,000 or so electronic signatures. And you know what? We’re really hoping they do.
Well, not really for changing the national anthem, but we totes want to read Barack Obama‘s response letter!
