Rehashing the past!!
On Wednesday, during a visit with BBC Radio 1‘s Breakfast Show, Nick Jonas was reminded of a disastrous date he had with ex girlfriend Selena Gomez. For the program’s Heart Rate Monitor game, Selly G filmed a video where she brought up the time Jonas ruined her first visit to Central Park.

Oh snap!! Apparently, Nick and Selena went on a double date with Joe Jonas and Taylor Swift (mind you, this was “over 10 years ago”), but the Close singer’s phobia of paparazzi wrecked the outing. Miz Gomez recalled:
“Hello Nicholas, it is Selena Gomez. Don’t need to say my whole name with you, but it is. So I know what you’re doing and I would like to remind you of a time where we all went to Central Park together. It was definitely over 10 years ago. I was wondering if that brought up anything for you. I know Central Park was really beautiful. It was actually my first time, maybe that says something. If not, I failed.”
The memory clearly stressed out the 25-year-old as host Nick Grimshaw told the chart topper that his heart rate went up 90 bpm. Jonas went on to share some context regarding the anecdote, as he added:
“OK, so this was at a time when my brothers and I were a boy band and we were in Central Park and we were very private about our relationship. And she was unhappy that her Central Park experience was ruined by the fact that I walked about 20 feet away from her. Even though they were taking pictures of us and obviously we were there together it was like, ├óΓé¼╦£It would be better if we stand about 25 feet apart.'”
Oh, Nick, noooooo. The former Disney darling continued:
“So it ruined her Central Park experience, so her and Taylor Swift, who was dating my brother Joe ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ but we never confirmed it ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ walked 25 feet behind us as we walked through the park by ourselves.”
LOLz! Ahhh, young love.
Nick was also asked to talk about former flame Miley Cyrus‘ song, 7 Things. While the Jealous artist didn’t know for sure if the track was about him, he revealed that Cyrus was wearing something he gave her in the music video. Nick admitted:
“Never directly, but she’s wearing the dog tag in this thing that I gave her when I was 14 or something. I was actually kind of flattered, to be honest. It’s there forever, and I know it’s about me.”
