Honey Badger Book Hits Shelves January 24th!

Honey Badger book
We mentioned last fall that Randall, the narrator of ├óΓé¼┼ôThe Crazy Nastyass Honey Badger,” had landed a book deal to further his HIGHlarious commentary on wildlife and it’s finally here!
Honey Badger Don’t Care: Randall’s Guide To Crazy, Nastyass Animals is hitting shelves on January 24th and, according to the author, the world has been eagerly waiting for a nastyass animal like the honey badger!
In a recent interview, the creator of perhaps the funniest internet wildlife series ever told sources the animal is one Americans can “most identify with right now,” explaining:

The honey badger is more than a crazy, nasty-ass animal. It’s a way of life. It’s a mentality which seems easy to adopt these days, in this crazy world we’re living in. I mean, consider the last year. Bin Laden was found and killed, Gaddafi ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ we all saw what happened to him! ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and then Kim Jong-Il all died. Revolution was in the air and it still is. There are so many people in America right now that are fed up. Along comes the honey badger and it’s like, yes, that’s the animal I most identify with right now.

Randall’s debut book isn’t just good for America, it’s good for animals on the verge of extinction too as he continues:

“There are so many animals out there, and species, most folks know very little about. And what’s unfortunate is a lot of them are, indeed, on the brink of extinction. I mean, imagine just finding out about an animal and then, next thing you know ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ say, five years later ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ boom, they’re gone. So sad. My goal is to expose these wonderful creatures to the world to see if we can’t do something about it.”

Yes! If more people in the world knew that every animal is just as special as the honey badger, they care more about preserving them!
Randall’s passion for narrating wildlife videos is no accident either — he’s been doing it since he was a kid! His father was a cameraman on a wildlife show and would often show his family the footage he shot, as the internet celeb shared:

“It became a ‘thing’ for me to sit and narrate Papa’s footage in front of family and friends. So, I knew eventually I would narrate wildlife. Also, I just love animals.”

We’re sure the 32 million people who watched the original YouTube video can’t wait to read the book, but we bet they are even more excited to watch another episode. They’re in luck because fans may soon be able to catch the internet’s most popular animal on television too. Randall announced:

“I have very recently teamed up with Six Eleven Media and comedian Harland Williams in developing ‘Honey Badger U,’ which is an original, mixed animation, live action comedy series.”

Very cool! We just hope it’s as good or even better than the original (if that’s even possible)!
