Coney Island Roller Coaster Gets Stuck At The Top Of The Track -- Forcing Its Riders To Walk Down!! Watch The Scary Video!!

Cyclone breaks down at Coney Island
Yikes!!
On Sunday, an amusement complex Luna Park celebrated its spring opening at Coney Island. As part of a promotion for the season opening, passengers got to ride free, and one of those rides included the historic Cyclone roller coaster!!
If you’re thinking the words “historic” and “roller coaster” probably shouldn’t be in the same sentence, you’d be right. Because 87-year-old wooden roller coaster got stuck near the top of the tracks — forcing riders to walk down the tracks to safety!!
A dozen riders boarded the three-car coaster (only at half of its 24 rider capacity) for its second trip of the day, and the car got stuck several feet from the uppermost point of the track!!!

Park workers climbed towards the car stuck at almost 85 feet in the air, and photos showed the workers helping riders with their walk down the precarious tracks.
The cart stalled due to an “isolated mechanical issue” that park officials say is being repaired. Angie Morris, the brand manager for Luna Park had this to say about the roller coaster’s previous stallings:

“It hasn’t happened in a long time, and certainly not on opening day ├óΓé¼┬ª Everyone was evacuated safely”

Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Though some people might find it scary, Coney Island regulars are aware that the Cyclode does sometimes get stuck.
Viktoriya Strahl posted a video on Instagram of the roller coaster evacuation. But because she lives nearby, she and her kids are still passionate about the ride, saying “we still love it!”
She won’t have to wait too long — the park posted on its Facebook page Sunday afternoon that the ride would reopen after a “proper inspection!”
Relive the scary moment by watching the video (below) taken by a witness of the riders walking down the tracks!
