Sigma Alpha Epsilon's Investigation Finds 5 More Chapters That Knew The Racist Lynching Chant

SAE it isn’t so…
Last March, the University of Oklahoma chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon was shut down after a video surfaced online showing members singing an extremely racist chant.
After a year-long investigation by the fraternity, SAE has found that five additional groups were familiar with the lynching chant in question.

According to the national organization’s findings, five chapters — which it did not identify — acknowledged hearing the chant within the past five years.
SAE polled every one of its 13,500+ collegiate members, detailing that none of them claimed to have heard the chant more recently than 2012, aside for the OU incident.

While the Illinois-based fraternity said it could not confirm that the chant originated at SAE, earlier reports claimed the chant originated at a national leadership cruise in 2010. A university investigation following the incident found that the chant was brought back to the OU chapter and taught to members and pledges.
After the OU chapter was shut down by the school with two members getting expelled by the university, we hope the other chapters who know the repugnant chant are smart enough to never recite it again…
Or you know, just not be racist in the first place.
