The comedy legend just won Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for Veep, and just like Donald Trump — she won by a LANDSLIDE!!
Instead of doing her usual comedic bit when she took the stage, JLD channeled her inner Selina Meyer with an important message about the president’s despicable immigration ban — specifically, saying how “un-American” it is.
Revealing that her own father was an immigrant, the 56-year-old blasted POTUS’s xenophobic executive order, calling the ban a “blemish” on our country. Preach!!!!
The Seinfeld alum beat out some tough competition for the prize; including Uzo Aduba in Orange Is the New Black, Jane Fonda in Grace and Frankie, Ellie Kemper in Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Lily Tomlin, Grace and Frankie! Brava!
