Last month we finally got an answer to one of the last big Sex And The City questions: which guy did Sarah Jessica Parker think Carrie Bradshaw should end up with?
For those who missed it, SJP was on a SATC rewatch podcast called The Bradshaw Boys, and the hosts asked whether she personally was Team Aidan or Team Big.
Did she pick the tall, relaxed, wood-working dog owner? Or the cocky, cigar smoking, investment banker?

Sorry, Aidan fans, but IRL Carrie wouldn’t have done anything differently than it unfolded on the show (except maybe skipping the Aleksander awfulness, LOLz). She explained:
“You have to be Team Big, or Team John (Big’s real name) I guess, only because you can’t tell a story that long and not in the most conventional way kind of root for that ending. And I love Chris Noth so much, and it felt wonderfully and skillfully written by Michael Patrick [King].”
Yep, she chose Big for the traditional rom com happily ever after ending. And you know what? So did YOU!

So what does Aidan portrayer John Corbett think about his former onscreen love interest ultimately choosing another man?
In typical Aidan fashion, he’s really chill about it! ET caught up to the HBO hunk at the premiere of his next movie, the Netflix romance sequel To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You, and he responded:
“Selfishly I like to win, my characters like to win. But no, there’s no other way for that formula to go down except with Mr. Big. It wouldn’t have been a good show if she’d ended up with this guy, [Aidan].”
Wait, so… Even AIDAN is Team Big?? WTF?! What about all the fans who wanted Carrie to pick Aidan? Corbett quipped:
“That’s just because I’m charming and have a good head of hair.”
Excuse us — it is a great head of hair. In fact, the 58-year-old still has it, too!
SJP did add to her Team Big statement some nice words about her runner-up, saying:
“But I love John Corbett so much and I loved Aidan. I loved his Aidan.”
As for his co-star, Corbett had nothing but sweet words back at her, saying:
“She’s always been so kind to me anytime anybody asks her a question about me. I’m always blown away by how nice she is. I consider us friends, so it’s reciprocated.”
Awww, how can you not be Team Aidan these days?
