Janelle Brown is putting her foot down for the sake of her kids.
In the most recent episode of Sister Wives which premiered Sunday, tensions were high between the mom and her ex Kody Brown. Janelle was setting up a graduation party for her youngest kid, Savannah, 19, but her rules were strict: she didn’t want Kody anywhere near the festivities. Why? She revealed he’s alienated from most of his kids — it sounds like they HATE him:
“Kody is alienated from 90 to 95 percent of his children. He is not really wanted at events. He is not coming regardless of who he brings or doesn’t bring with him.”
Ouch!

So how many is 95% really? Well, with Janelle, the former polygamist shares Logan, 30, Madison, 29, Hunter, 27, Gabriel, 23, Savannah, and the late Garrison. But he has 18 kids in total. So we’re talking like 17 not wanting anything to do with him if Janelle is right! If he really made nearly all of them resent him, that says a lot about what kind of father he’s been… Besides being stretched thin by making a dozen and a half kids, we mean!
Janelle went on to say Kody’s last remaining wife Robyn Brown isn’t the biggest issue, despite what he may think:
“Kody has this idea that somehow if he leaves Robyn home, he’s going to be able to come to these family gatherings. And that’s so far from the truth.”
Turns out Jenelle was right on the money. Later in the episode, the 55-year-old confirmed those were his beliefs, as he placed the blame of his family issues on Robyn:
“I’d like to be a part of Savannah’s life, but it’s like they’re in this collusion that seems to hate Robyn, and I don’t know why other than, well, they’re jealous. I’ve got this whole other side of the family that have decided that they’re still a family and we’re out. Now, they’ll let me in that club as long as I leave Robyn behind. I can’t do that.”
Wow. Not surprising, though, considering his tendency to dodge blame for everything!
While Kody did end up going to Savannah’s actual graduation in 2023 — no one could stop him from going to the public event — Janelle kept her word. The patriarch was NOT in attendance at the party afterward. It really goes to show just how his kids feel about him and their upbringing. Such a sad situation.
