Spielberg's Robopocalypse Postponed Indefinitely: But With Hope!

Some sad news was going around that Spielberg‘s epic Robopocalypse adaptation was postponed indefinitely, which is usually the kiss of death in the industry.
Here’s the bad news: it HAS been postponed. Here’s the good news: Mr. Spielberg says he postponed it himself to start the script from scratch, to make it more manageable, and wanted the cast and crew he had assembled to go find other work until he was done.
See? Not so bad!
Here’s what he said:

├óΓé¼┼ôWe found that the film was costing a lot of money and I found a better way to tell the story more economically but also much more personally. I found the personal way into ‘Robopocalypse’, and so I just told everybody to go find other jobs, I├óΓé¼Γäóm starting on a new script and we├óΓé¼Γäóll have this movie back on its feet soon.├óΓé¼┬¥

We were worried there for a second! We can relax now!
Also, if you’re wondering why a movie called Robopocalypse was getting out of hand, here’s a synopsis:

Not far into our future, the dazzling technology that runs our world turns against us. Controlled by a childlike—yet massively powerful—artificial intelligence known as Archos, the global network of machines on which our world has grown dependent suddenly becomes an implacable, deadly foe. At Zero Hour—the moment the robots attack—the human race is almost annihilated, but as its scattered remnants regroup, humanity for the first time unites in a determined effort to fight back. This is the oral history of that conflict, told by an international cast of survivors who experienced this long and bloody confrontation with the machines.

Sounds awwwwwwwwwesome to us — and really easy to burn through budget while making!! LOLz!
Oh, and did we mention Anne Hathaway, Chris Hemsworth and Ben Wishaw were rumored to be starring? They were — and we can only hope they’ll be back!
We hope we didn’t worry you too much about the project’s fate!!
