Thai Pet Shop Owner Arrested Over 14 Rare Lions!

Albino Lions
In a warehouse near Bangkok, Thailand, the police found 14 albino lions!
Montri Boonprom-on, a pet shop owner, was arrested and is facing charges stemming from the possession of these rare animals.
Birds, meerkats, tortoises, peafowls, capuchin monkeys and more were all found at the warehouse.
Montri not only owns an exotic pet shop, but he’s also been convicted of wildlife trading before!
He said that the lions were shipped legally and were going to be transferred to a zoo in Thailand’s northeast.
The suspicious part of this whole story is that while there were 14 lions at his warehouse, documents showed he had imported 16.
What happened to those two lions??
Thailand is often at the center of the illegal exotic animal trade.
We’re glad the authorities stepped in and rescued these animals, who are now under the care of the Department of Natural Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation.
Way to go Thai police, save those animals!!
