Canada Why? 2-Year-Old Suspended For Having A Cheese Sandwich At Day Care!

This seems a bit too much.
A two-year-old girl was suspended from a daycare in Ottawa, Canada after caretakers found she had a cheese sandwich.
And her father Randy Murray is none too happy that his daughter Faith won’t be allowed back for THREE whole days! The father had originally given his daughter the sandwich to eat before daycare, but she opted to keep it instead for later.
When administrators at Centre de l’Enfant Aux 4 found the sandwich, they enforced their strict no foods policy and suspended the little girl immediately.
When the dad found out about what happened, he literally thought the school was kidding! Here’s what the dad said:

├óΓé¼┼ôBy the time she was two steps in one of the teachers saw it, handed it back to me and then the next thing you know, I’m told we’re suspended. I thought they were kidding. I literally thought it was a joke. I smiled and laughed, but nobody else was smiling.”

However the daycare director Deb Ducharme said their policy is NO joke! Here’s what said:

“We do have children with multiple allergies and the parents are more than happy that we have all these things in place to protect the children.”

The director said all parents sign off on the agreement before entering their children into the daycare program. However Randy the daddy believes that the rule wasn’t made clear enough. He said:

“I didn’t realize it was so strict that a two-year-old would be suspended. I didn’t realize there was a giant line, and I obviously crossed it.”

We can understand why the daycare has a strict policy on foods for allergy reasons, but what ever happened to no harm no foul?
The dad could’ve been given a stern warning instead of his daughter receiving a three day suspension.
A suspension like that may have Faith feeling as if she did something wrong, which is so obviously not the case here!
