We think this is an amazing idea, for the very same reason as why they’re selling them: to recycle!
Evans added that the U2 camp is “now in discussions to send them into different places around the world and have them installed as permanent venues. Some major events have shown interest in these, from four different continents — and we haven’t even really put the word out yet.”
What better use for incredible stages than to be used as permanent stages around the world instead of having them fall apart in storage somewhere or be thrown away??
It’ll be interesting to see how much they sell them for, and how they’ll look in their new homes!
Maybe we should get one and put it in our back yard for BBQs! Ha
