Valentino Says Nicole Kidman Did NOT Wear Anne Hathaway's Dress!

We don’t know what to think anymore!
We could have sworn the Valentino gown that Nicole Kidman wore to the Nebraska premiere at Cannes on Thursday was the one Anne Hathaway was supposed to wear to the Oscars this year.
BUT, the folks at Valentino are insisting that it’s totally NOT, even though back when the whole Anne Hathaway/Valentino dress mess went down, that very same lace gown (pictured on Nicole above left) was reported to be the one Annie rejected at the last minute!
According to the powers-that-be at the Italian label, the ACTUAL dress Anne picked out was a different lacy gown with a pale indigo tinge to it (pictured on the model above right). In fact, it was shown right before the ivory high-neck gown on the runway.
We don’t know WHY they didn’t clarify this back in February, but whatevs!
And we have to admit that this purplish lace dress does look more like Amanda Seyfried‘s McQueen gown that started all this drama than the white lace one Nicole wore. They both have similar lacy swirls and a violet undertone.
One thing we’re certain of, however, is that we never want to revisit this dramz ever again.
