It sounds like the new season of Vanderpump Rules is going to be very different: one original cast member won’t be returning in their full role.
While we saw Jax Taylor quit his job at Sur, there’s no way his engagement to Brittany Cartwright didn’t secure him lots of airtime in the upcoming episodes!
So, is there really an obvious answer here??

According to RadarOnline‘s source, yes. Kristen Doute is said to not have been asked back by producers, but will appear on the show as a “friend”:

“She’s being downgraded to a ‘friend’ of the cast. She doesn’t have a lot of drama in her life these days.”

With the OG Surver in a healthy relationship with her boyfriend of three years, Brian Carter, apparently her life has gotten too boring for Lisa Vanderpump! And viewers.
As you probably saw last season, Kristen’s main plot line surrounded rumors she hooked up with ex James Kennedy in Mexico, which seemed to be Jax just stirring the pot.
Guess life really is going well for the starlet!
And judging by her Instagram posts, you’d never know she had been “downgraded” as she seems fully supportive of her costars! Just the other day she posed alongside her girls, sharing:
