The 2012 Cannes Film Festival will be running from May 16th to the 27th this year, and given its recently announced line-up of cinematic contenders, we'd guess that this is going to be one HELLUVA year - in regards to both FILM and STAR POWER present!

Some of the A-list talent expected to be in attendance this year include Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, James Gandolfini, Kylie Minogue, Viggo Mortensen, Bill Murray, Marion Cotillard, Chris Rock, and possibility Will and Jada Pinkett Smith!

Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson — two of the biggest names in the business — have teamed up to star in a cable television series called True Detective.

The 8 episode season would follow two detectives over a time period that stretches from 1995 to present, during which their lives intertwine as they investigate and hunt down a serial killer in Louisiana.

What a strange pairing!

Guy Fieri teamed up with Matthew McConaughey for the oddest of seasons premieres for his hit show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives!

The thing is... it worked!!

The duo hit a 1950's diner together, where McConaughey was as laid back as ever, with his southern drawl and all!

He was even so pumped to be on the show that he helped renamed one of their dishes -- a cross between an Enchilada and Casserole -- into the Casherole.

Hmmm. We would have gone with either Enchirole or Cassilada.

Joe Manganiello is ecstatic over his Magic Mike costar's recent engagement. Alex Pettyfer popped the question to Elvis's granddaughter, Riley Keough last week.

While neither of them have confirmed nor denied the reports, Joe is happy for the couple, saying that everyone say this from miles away.

And a star studded bachelorette party isn't so far-fetched either!
