Kate Upton may have scored the best birthday present a girl could ever want: a new man!
According to spywitnesses, the Sports Illustrated model celebrated her 21st birthday with Dancing With the Stars' Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
Maks was spotted with the birthday girl Monday night at New York City's Scalinatella restaurant enjoying a "very romantic meal" that included side orders of hand-holding and lots of canoodling.
Sounds like a good way to cha-cha into her heart, right?
BUT, even though multiple sources are saying the lovebirds were set up through friends and just started dating, a source closer to Kate insists they're "just friends" and have known each other for some time.
Oh the old "just friends" denial. Uh huh, like we haven't heard that one before!

Even though things seemed to be okay when Kellie Pickler's dad was featured during her semifinals episode on the most recent season of Dancing with the Stars, things have gone terribly wrong for the man in Florida.
Clyde Pickler Jr. is currently ON THE RUN after violating his probation and traveling to North Carolina "without notification," according to the Florida Department of Corrections.
JUST as the pop and daughter were making amends, it seems that Clyde is pushing yet another wedge between him and his baby girl by breaking the law once more.
The two have had a rocky past with Kellie even addressing her daddy issues in her hit song Tough, but it looked like they were on the road to a healthy relationship again.
This will just further the damage though, according to an insider who said:
If you have to become a year older and you have to do it in front of a camera, you might as well do it topless!
Dancing With The Stars' Derek Hough seems to know this — even if Cheryl Burke does not! LOLZ!
The duo where joined by friends like Mark Ballas, Shoshana Bush, Ashley Roberts and Samuel Larson for a joint birthday party put on by Ciroc, which doesn't seem like a bad way to celebrate!
Derek definitely got the better end of the deal though, getting to enjoy the pool while having Cheryl cut the cake! Ha!

Mind-blowingly, it was the 16th season! That doesn't seem possible!
So how did it happen? Kellie and Derek earned perfect 30s for their routines, which even had a dramatic freestyle number that had people in tears! No joke! Then they earned extra points from their cha-cha relay, and squeaked out the win!

It all comes down to this! The final four contestants for Dancing With The Stars had one LAST chance to show America what they were made of last night, and they definitely all brought it!
In the final performance episode, each team did one dance routine of their choosing along with a freestyle. But they also shook things up a little bit with a cha-cha relay, where each duo performed one right after the other in a seamless routine and were ranked from first to last!
No wonder why they have such AH-Mazing chemistry on TV — this deliciously delightful dancing duo goes everywhere together!!
