Congratulations to Drew Barrymore!

The actress' new film, biopic Grey Gardens, was HBO's fourth-most-watched original premiere movie since 2004.

The flick drew 1.8 million viewers during its debut airing Saturday night and eventually racking up a total of 2.7 million viewers by the time the weekend was over.

Drew Barrymore is on fiyah!

The Grey Gardens actress looked stunning head-to-toe at the premiere for the HBO Films production last night in in New York City.

Not many people could pull off such a fierce ensemble, but Drew def knows how to work it out!

Drew Barrymore is the covergirl for the May issue of ELLE magazine.

In an interesting twist, the entire photoshoot was done underwater!!!!

And she actually looks good doing it!

Maybe she should always pose underwater???

We're especially loving the shot of her dressed in red. HOT!

So, what's Miz Barrymore got to say to Elle?

Here are the HIGHlights:

Her feelings on turning 34:
“I’m freaked out about how fast time is going. Now I get why adults are always so encouraging to young people—like Enjoy it! It’s magic! I would say that when Fabi and I broke up, and I got Grey Gardens, and I finally got the green light for the movie I directed, I was like, The magic is gone, the magic potion has dissipated, and this is your life—how do you want to live it?”

On her breakup from boyfriend Fabrizio Moretti:
“It’s hard to be with someone for five years and say, This isn’t going to work. But it was a time in my life where I finally just said, I can’t live for anyone else anymore. I have to be on my own.”

On the Hollywood career she would like to try:
“I’m in my thirties now, and I really want to try all the things that I haven’t gotten to do yet, like directing, and doing a drama. I’ve produced and gotten to do a lot of optimistic love stories, and that was so where I was at for 10 years in my life. And now I feel like, Okay, now I know how to do that. I wanted to get scared again.”

On the initial bad news from her agents about the [upcoming] Grey Gardens role:
“They said, ‘Well, here’s the truth. There’s a lot of actresses that, frankly, the director would rather do this.’ So I was just like, ‘Okay, I wanted a challenge!’”

On completely transforming for the role of Little Edie:
“I knew this was not a courtesy meeting, but not far from it. I didn’t want to come in there like a hungry freak. But I also felt every second counting. So – polite conversation, then he started looking through my binder, and I saw his demeanor change, actually noticing all the hard work I had put into it. So I just put it out there. I said, ‘Look – I have all of this inside of me, and I promise you that I will change my face to be her. I will learn how to stop talking out of the side of my mouth. I will go to school to relearn body language. I will shut out the world. I will not talk to my friends. I will give up my life for this, because I don’t think you can play this character and have a social life and balance the two mentalities. I won’t act. I’ll become this person.’”

Awkward!

Drew Barrymore is set to star opposite her real life ex, Justin Long, in the upcoming chick flick Going the Distance (so many puns!).

The New Line feature revolves around a couple trying to make a long distance relationship work.

Is it a case of art imitating life? As a real life couple, Drew and Justin split up in July after dating for a while. Recent sightings of the couple, however, have raised eyebrows.

Of course, reps wouldn't say anything regarding.

As we mentioned last month, rumors have been percolating that Drew Barrymore is supposedly in the running to direct the third film in the Twilight franchise, Eclipse. You know, cuz she's such a great director and all!

But, now, we come to find out the horrific news is true. Sort of.

Turns out Barrymore is one of the people being considered for the position. In fact, she confirmed the shiteous news herself.

In a recent interview, Barrymore said "I'm one of the directors that is being talked about, which is great, because I'm a director now. But, you know, they'll make their choice."

Just because you direct a film or two, doesn't really make you qualified to be a director for such a highly anticipated flick!!!!

Barrymore recently directed Whip It! starring Ellen Page, which is due in theaters this year. Let's see how that one turns out. And if she does get picked, let's hope she doesn't ruin the movie!

Noooooo!

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Drew Barrymore is supposedly in the running to direct the third film in the Twilight franchise, Eclipse.

We expect nothing but smelly cheesetasticness from Drew!

For goodness sake, her directorial debut is coming at us via the roller derby caper, Whip It.

According to new reports, this past Monday, manless Drew Barrymore 'squealed' with delight when her Music & Lyrics co-star Hugh Grant walked into the exclusive NY restaurant she was dining at, the Waverly Inn.

She proceeded to jump into his arms, snitches say.

Later in the evening the two were spotted making out.

Life imitating art!

But, things ended for the two at the restaurant.

Drew was spotted a few hours later at another celeb hang out spot chatting up another dark-haired, handsome Brit, Clive Owen.

You get around, girl!
