Game Of Thrones Author George R.R. Martin Drops New Excerpt From Next Book — And It's Already SO Different From The Show! Read HERE!

Now that Game Of Thrones has officially outpaced the novels it's based on, showrunners Dan Weiss and David Benioff agreed that the HBO fantasy series would deviate from George R.R. Martin's source material.

And in a new excerpt from Martin's newest novel The Winds of Winter, it's clear they weren't kidding around!

The newest book in the Song Of Ice and Fire series features several storylines and major characters that fans of the show haven't even met before!

For example, the latest chapter is told from the perspective of Princess Arienne Martell of Dorne, an important point-of-view character in the novels who doesn't even exist in the show!

In the books, Airenne is the eldest daughter of Prince Doran Martell — who was suddenly killed off in the Season 6 premiere episode — and the heiress to House Martell's seat at Sunspear, the capital of Dorne.

Aside from Airenne, the new passage is riddled with characters and plotlines that never made GoT — which swapped out Doran's meticulously crafted revenge plot (yawn!) for Ellaria's cutthroat takeover with the Sand Snakes (all minor characters in the books)!

Check out a passage from the excerpt (below) to find out just how far Martin's books have deviated from the Emmy-winning series!

After Kelly Ripa's tense return to LIVE! last week, it was starting to look like Michael Strahan's remaining days on the morning program would be like a leftover cup of coffee — cold and bitter.

But after the longtime cohosts scored a Daytime Emmy Award over the weekend, the ironic win could be just what the doctor ordered for Kelly and Michael to go out on a high note!

Just weeks before Strahan early exit, the daytime duo walked out with their trophies for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host on Monday's show.

And probably because they were too distracted by other issues at hand, neither TV personality had any idea the award show was happening this weekend! Ripa told the audience:

Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan may have the most tense relationship in daytime television right now, but Emmy voters haven't forgotten the drama-free days of LIVE! With Kelly and Michael!

On Sunday, the cohosts of four years won the 2016 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host — in the midst of Ripa being blindsided by Disney execs over Strahan's secret move to Good Morning America.

As for the less-ironic winners of the night, General Hospital was named the year's best daytime drama series — and other winning programs included The Talk, The Chew, The Price is Right, Extra, and CBS Sunday Morning!

Aside from Ripa and Strahan, other individual winners included Craig Ferguson for Celebrity Name Game and Dr. Oz for The Dr. Oz Show!

Since Strahan is exiting LIVE! next week, we hope the show's Emmy win will serve as a friendly reminder for the cohosts to play nice during the remainder of their time together on air — but we're not holding our breath! LOLz!

It always catches us off guard when the political world meets pop culture… but we're absolutely living for it!

It will be ten years since The West Wing went off the air next month, but the Aaron Sorkin-penned show is still relevant today thanks to its politics and its all star cast.

And its current streamability on Netflix

Well, one of the most famous members of President Bartlet's administration decided to stop by the White House on Friday to brief the press in character!

Allison Janney took the podium as C.J. Cregg and began to answer questions before eventually handing things over to IRL Press Secretary Joshua Earnest, much to the surprise of reporters.

Apparently, the Emmy Award-winning actress was in Washington, D.C. with Chuck Lorre to bring serious attention to America's opiate problem — something her character on Mom struggles with — and decided that calling back to another hit show of hers would be the best way to do it!

If this is going to become a thing, we want Darby Stanchfield as Abby Whelan from Scandal to show up next week to address our nation's crippling love triangle outbreak. LOLz!!!
