While talking to the press to promote On The Road at the Toronto International Film Festival, Garrett Hedlund admitted he WAS "approached" to star in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire as Finnick Odair.
Fortunately, it sounds like we're just being dramatic and it's really no big whoop in the grand scheme of things.
After confirming the studio's interest in him for the highly sought-after part, he explained he was too busy getting HJ's from Kristen Stewart to even read the books, saying:

When Scott asked 'what do you (actors) do when you can't behave normally anymore,' Kristen gave a brutally honest answer.
But she snipped it short and replied:

It seems Kirsten Dunst and Garrett Hedlund have exchanged their Silverlake, LA stomping ground for a bite of the Big Apple, as the cute-as-buttons couple were spotted grabbing groceries at a Tribeca Whole Foods!
