Now that both Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez have filed for divorce from each other, we're really curious about what went wrong.
We've recently learned that the former flames' rocky relationship struggled because both actors had "fiery personalities" and couldn't really compromise.
It was also said that the French thespian didn't like living in Los Angeles, that he had temper issues, and couldn't deal with the fact that the 49-year-old worked so much more than he did.

Now, a source says that his anger was actually the main reason the couple split, explaining:
"Oliver comes from a world where he was easily intimidated by her ability to work and that she was the breadwinner. He was emasculated by her beauty and her power, and his temper could erupt. He was never physically abusive towards her. He was very possessive in a very kind of caveman way but was never abusive to her or the family."
The insider continues by adding that it was scary when Olivier would get mad:
"He had an explosive temper in a way that was profoundly frightening. You never knew when he would explode."
The confidante reveals that the Extant star was trying to avoid divorce, but eventually couldn't fight it anymore:
"Olivier has definite anger management issues. I think this was coming for a long time and [Berry was] not wanting to have to do this."
The source also admits Olivier's outbursts were unpredictable, which made it really difficult for the two to co-exist:
"In any sort of situation, you never know what will get his temper up – and it's unnerving to live with that. Imagine that every single day."
In fact, Halle could be paying for her estranged husband's violent actions. In January, he allegedly knocked an LAX employee to the ground with a car seat, and now the man is suing both Dark Tide co-stars.
But, while the insider believes the leading lady had a tough time dealing with her man's supposed anger, she's still upset that their marriage had to end:
"She is sad, very sad. This is never easy."
Both Halle and Olivier are seeking joint custody of their son, Maceo.
