Ledger's Life Insurance Case Coming To An End

matilda1__opt.jpg

As we mentioned last year, Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams' daughter, Matilda Rose, is set to get her father's inheritance. Included in that was Ledger's $10 million life insurance.

However, the life insurance company decided not to pay up - claiming Heath's death seemed more like a suicide than an overdose.

So, Williams hired an attorney on behalf of Matilda to go against the insurance company, ReliaStar.

Well, finally, an agreement has been reached. The details are confidential. But….

The filings state that a court guardian must be established to represent 3-year-old Matilda.

And a closed hearing has been requested for late February to finally wrap things up.

Let's hope Heath's daughter gets what's rightfully hers!

Heath Ledger Golden Globe Dramz

batmanopen__opt1.jpg

Oh, the politics!

If Heath Ledger is awarded the Golden Globe, who will accept it on his behalf?

Well, that's an issue that's creating a bunch of dramz at the moment, according to a new report.

Heath's dad, Kim, really, really wants to do the honors at the ritzy event, but insiders say the Dark Knight studio, Warner Bros., want Michelle Williams to be the go to person, to receive it on behalf of little Matilda.

A 'friend' of the family chimed in, "Why would Michelle be involved? She had nothing to do with the movie. They weren't even together when he passed away. Would you have your ex-wife accept your award? And they weren't even married. [Director] Chris Nolan or [star] Christian Bale would make more sense. Michelle makes no sense. It's like those rumors that she would go to the premiere of 'Dark Knight.' That was never in the realm of possibility."

Put everyone's name in a hat, do the pick and be done with it!

Michelle Williams Opens Up About Heath and the Paparazzi

michelle.jpg

Michelle Williams sat down with Newsweek as part of the promo blitz for her new movie, Wendy and Lucy, and boy does the interview tug at your heartstrings.

The interviewer was able to get Michelle to talk about Heath Ledger's death:

Williams is jovial and chatty, until the conversation turns to Heath. You can see it's still difficult for her to talk about him, and she hasn't done so publicly until now. The first time Ledger's name comes up, she bursts into tears. "It's so sad," Williams says. When she's asked about how she's been doing in the past year, she's silent for a very long time. "I guess it's always changing," she says. There's another pause. "What else can I say?" Her voice is breathy and fragile, and she takes a few gulps of air. "I just wake up each day in a slightly different place—grief is like a moving river, so that's what I mean by 'it's always changing'." She stops again. "It's a strange thing to say"—her words unravel slowly, her eyes tear up—"because I'm at heart an optimistic person, but I would say in some ways it just gets worse. It's just that the more time that passes, the more you miss someone. In some ways it gets worse. That's what I would say."

And, her thoughts on the paprazzi:

"It burns a fire inside of me, the s––– that I've seen people do to get at me or my daughter," she says. "I won't forget it, and I won't support it. I don't want my daughter growing up feeling spied on or threatened." She can't understand how many more pictures people need of her holding a coffee cup in one hand and Matilda in the other. Williams is especially enraged at female photographers, because she thinks women should be protective of mothers. She tried to give a particularly aggressive paparazzo career advice recently. "I said, 'You're better than this. Look at you! You're young, you're able-bodied, you have a brightness in your eyes. You're above this.' But you know what? She didn't go away."

Michelle goes on to say she'll seriously consider quitting acting, if that's what it takes to get her life back, "If it gets to the point where I can't situate my life in a way that they stay away more, then I'll drop a match on the thing. I'll be sad. I like to act. It's saved my life over and over again. It's given me a sense of self-esteem, self-worth. I have this thing that I'm in love with—acting—and now it has this baggage."

She reveals that she's definitely taking the next year off to focus on being mommy to Matilda.

Let's all leave them alone!

Heath's Family Disapproves Of Book

heath1__opt.jpg

Uh-oh!

The family of Heathus is trying to distance themselves from Janet Fife-Yeomans' Heath: A Family's Tale, calling some of the unauthorized biography's assertions, like that Ledger suffered from bipolar disorder, "grossly inaccurate."

In a statement, the Ledger family says:

The book contains gross inaccuracies, false allegations (against Kim Ledger) and many incorrect and unsubstantiated comments about Heath in his youth, provided by estranged family members and some people who had little to do with Heath's life.

Further, Fife-Yeomans has no right to infer that we (as Heath's family) in any way authorised this book.

We have never contributed to or authorised any publications about our son.

Fife-Yeomans is sticking to her guns, as she got her information from Heather's estranged uncle, Haydn.

But, Haydn's proved to be a wild card since his nephew's death, with his brothers Kim and Mike warning former fiance Michelle Williams and her father Larry to not trust him.

Just let him rest in peace!

Michelle Williams' Crooked Father To Be Extradited To U.S.A.

what-taxes.jpg

Michelle Williams' father and grandfather to Heath's daughter with Michelle - Matilda Rose - is returning to the Unites States to face charges of tax evasion.

Larry Williams owes The Man $1.5 million in taxes from revenue and royalties from international seminars between 1990 and 2001. He's been evading extradition since an Australian arrest in 2006.

He is reported to return to the States tomorrow, Wednesday, saying, "I will fight this and win. I will be back — I have a lot of friends here in Australia."

Don't mess with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service - they deal a nasty sort of justice!

Spike Jonez and Michelle Williams are In Luuurve

in-lurve.jpg

Spike Jonez and Michelle Williams looked cozy and couple-y on a crisp autumn urban stroll.

The pair were caught holding each other close as they sipped drinks and picked up a couple of groceries in NYC on Monday.

Gosh, they look pleasant, don't they?

We feel like we're falling in love just looking at them! And we don't like it!!!!

Mommy and Me!

michellematilda.jpg

Michelle Williams and a little bundled-up Matilda Ledger enjoyed a lovely fall day in the NYC on Friday.

Looks like Matilda is having so much fun!

We loved crunching fall leaves as a kid, too! And we totally loved the snow! We didn't have either in Miami, but it was always fun to pretend.
