Sony FINALLY Drops R. Kelly!

R Kelly Sony Dropped

After years of allegations of sexual abuse, R. Kelly is finally facing the music — specifically Sony Music. And RCA.
According to Variety, both labels have dropped the Remix To Ignition singer after days of protests outside their headquarters.
Obviously the companies seemed content to keep Kelly so long as the accusations of turning underage girls into sex slaves were widely whispered, but after Lifetime‘s revelatory Surviving R. Kelly documentary, the conversation finally got too loud for them.

Not only have the public — and his former collaborators — turned on Kelly, the dam seems to have broken with alleged victims as well; more and more are coming forward every day.
We may never know how many lives he affected, but at least we won’t have to see him promoting his next single on Jimmy Fallon.
Variety‘s source says RCA/Sony are planning no external announcement of the move and are even planning to leave him on their website.
Man, they just don’t want ANY part of the controversy. Way to take a moral stand, guys.
…guys?
