Most people are currently obsessed with ’90s nostalgia resurging into mainstream media. But Luke Perry, who rose to fame playing bad boy Dylan McKay in the ’90s show Beverly Hills, 90210, isn’t itching to relive the past!
On Thursday, the 48-year-old admitted he WON’T be tuning in to watch Lifetime‘s The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story!

At the Television Critics Association summer press tour, Perry made it clear that he wanted to keep his Dylan McKay days in the past — quipping curt responses to reporters asking his thoughts on the upcoming tell-all.
After a few dry responses showing disinterest in the entire subject of 90210, one reporter asked why the hit show seemed to “not matter” to Perry, who responded with:

“Third grade. How much does that matter to you? Exactly. It’s just not relevant to anything I’m doing. Next question?”

While the star didn’t seem interested to the press, he later admitted that he always likes discussing the show with fans on a one-on-one level. He said:

“When it’s between two people, right? And it’s you and I, we’re having a talk about it, that’s great and that’s never lost on me. It’s always very flattering and I like it. When I meet somebody and I can see that they appreciated the work and they want to talk about the show, I’m always happy to do that.”

We totally get where he’s coming from, since it must be a bit irritating for an actor to get constant questions about work that he did almost 20 years ago!
