Is Jon Gosselin’s new wife throwing shade?
Over the weekend, Collin Gosselin took to Instagram to share a patriotic post in honor of the Fourth of July. Alongside a photo and videos of him driving a boat while wearing a blue-and-star bandana in Newport Beach, the 22-year-old gushed over the Armed Forces:
“Happy Fourth of July! Grateful for the people who have fought, served, and worked to expand freedom across generations so that we can call this country home. Feeling blessed to celebrate our history, and commitment to building a nation where people of every background, culture, and community can belong, thrive, and be free. We may be imperfect at times, but nonetheless we should strive as a people to build back better and show strength as a nation. Freedom is something to cherish, protect, and extend to everyone. Happy 250th”

Shortly after, Collin’s step mom Stephanie Lebo, whom his dad Jon married last year, re-shared the post on her IG Story set to the tune of Toby Keith’s Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue and wrote:
“Love seeing you live the life you always deserved.”

So supportive! She then went on to seemingly take a swipe at Kate, adding:
“And again, LIVE YOUR LIFE!”

As we’ve been following, tensions have been sky high between Collin and his estranged mother Kate ever since he announced his memoir In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood. Well, tensions have actually been sky high between them for long before that, but the announcement of this tell all just sent things into outer space!
In case you haven’t been following, Collin has promised the book will shed light on the “dark side” of his childhood — including the alleged abuse he suffered from Kate — when it hits bookshelves this October. Alongside this announcement of the book last month, Collin wrote on Instagram:
“For a long time, I wasn’t sure I’d ever tell this story. Growing up, millions of people watched my life on television. People felt like they knew me. They knew my family. They watched me grow up. But there was so much they never saw. For years, I kept those experiences to myself. Some because I was afraid. Some because I didn’t think anyone would believe me. And some because I just wasn’t ready.”
He went on:
“Writing this book forced me to revisit some of the hardest moments of my life, but it also gave me something I’ve been searching for for a long time: my voice. This isn’t the story people think they know. It’s the story I’ve lived.”

As we’ve previously covered, Kate sent Collin to a mental institution when he was just 12 years old, which has now prevented him from joining the Armed Forces himself. In addition to that, the young man has opened up about allegedly being locked up in a basement and “zip-tied” by his mom prior to going to live with his father.
Since his book announcement, Kate has reportedly been gearing up for “battle” to try and save her reputation… even going as far as to call Collin “mentally ill” on TikTok.
It seems like Stephanie has taken a CLEAR side here… And so has Collin! Prior to announcing his memoir, he referred to her as his “real mom” — to which she responded:
“I’ll always be here for you and you are my son. I love you!”
