Anne Hathaway Explains Post-Oscar Quietness: "People Needed A Break From Me"

Anne Hathaway claims that she’s been lying low since last year’s Oscar win because she thinks people needed a break from her – we think it’s the opposite!
We’ve been MISSING her!!
She DID have a small cameo in Joseph Gordon-Levitt‘s Don Jon, but that was it! She didn’t really show up on the carpets either, and says it was mostly for the public’s sake. But also a little for her too!
Here’s what she said at Sundance, where she’s promoting her film Song One:

“My impression is that people needed a break from me.”

She’s totes talking about how people kept reacting to her winning and her acceptance speeches, but we think she’s blowing it out of proportion!
Luckily, we hear she said that with a laugh – because we all know that she totally enjoyed her time off with new-ish husband Adam Shulman regardless of who really needed the break!
Except for that one time she almost drowned! LOLz!
Whatevz! We can’t wait to see Song One and her back in the spotlight!
