Avocado Sales Are Exploding In The U.S.

So creamy, so delicious. You’d be out of your mind not to enjoy them.
As it turns out, more and more people are wising up to the deliciousness of the green food!
In 2005, we sold 802,976,829 pounds of avocado. In 2011, we CRUSHED that number with 1,137,749,941 pounds — which represents a 42 percent increase over just six years.
Mexico is loving it too, because the avocados from our southern neighbors make up 61% of those numbers.
Not only are people becoming more vocal about their love, but it seems like they’ve gone mainstream too… even being focused on by shows like The Biggest Loser!
PLUS, they’re no longer seasonal! With Mexico being allowed to export more and more, you can get them any time!
This isn’t expected to be temporary, either — there is much more room to grow.
