The Late Bill Paxton Will NOT Be Recast On CBS Series Training Day!

no title
We may have lost Bill Paxton this week, but that doesn’t mean we have to say goodbye to him on TV just yet.
The actor passed away over the weekend from heart surgery complications, with his untimely death coming four episodes into the run of what will be his last series, CBS‘s Training Day.
And though the Twister actor played one of the lead characters in the crime drama, producers made it clear they would not be recasting the role in the wake of his passing.
Creator Will Beall and executive producer Barry Schindel told TMZ that the 61-year-old was irreplaceable as crooked cop Frank Roarke on the freshman series.

Production on the show’s premiere season wrapped in December, and the showrunners hinted they had a perfect “send-off” in store for Bill’s character.
Thursday’s episode will also feature a dedication to the actor at the top of the show.
CBS hasn’t announced if the show will be back for a second season — but if Training Day gets renewed, the powers that be already know how they’ll handle the tragic death.
We hope Bill’s character gets a proper (aka BADASS) sendoff on the series. Our hearts go out to his loved ones at this devastating time.
