Carey Mulligan Bores Down Under In Dior

Man, is she OVER this promo tour, or what?
Carey Mulligan may have been all smiles at Tiffany & Co.‘s dinner in honor of The Great Gatsby in Sydney on Thursday, but her outfit is making us downright depressed.
We’d gotten used to her minimalist dressing tendencies, and she looked wonderful in some of them, but her Christian Dior gown could not have been any less interesting.
What’s worse is Carey didn’t even bother dressing it up with all the extravagant Tiffany jewels at her disposal, instead settling on simple diamond studs and nothing else.
Talk about a missed opportunity!
Barely-there makeup (cute smile, though!) and the same old updo had us reaching for the snooze button.
