The Big Bang Theory's Carol Ann Susi Has Died From Cancer

Carol Ann Susi
This is such sad news.
Carol Ann Susi, who voiced Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg)’s mother Debbie on The Big Bang Theory, has passed away.
The veteran character actress died on Tuesday morning due to cancer at the age of 62.
The actress was hardly ever seen on camera, only briefly in the background during season six, but was still one of the most prominent characters in the cast due to her over-the-top voice work.
Upon her death, The TBBT Executive Producers, Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro, and Bill Prady, gave the following statement, saying:

“The Big Bang Theory family has lost a beloved member today with the passing of Carol Ann Susi, who hilariously and memorably voiced the role of Mrs. Wolowitz. Unseen by viewers, the Mrs. Wolowitz character became a bit of a mystery throughout the show’s eight seasons. What was not a mystery, however, was Carol Ann’s immense talent and comedic timing, which were on display during each unforgettable appearance. In addition to her talent, Carol Ann was a constant source of joy and kindness to all. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her family during this time, and we will miss her greatly.”

Carol Ann had appeared in every season of the hit CBS sitcom, and it is unclear what direction the show will take with her character in future episodes.
Rest In Peace, Carol Ann.
