Chrissy Teigen Blasted Over Forearm Tattoo That Critics Claim Gives 'Really Strong Holocaust Vibes'

Chrissy Teigen's new tat is offensive.

Chrissy Teigen just wanted to be a “cool mom,” but she’s being accused of making light of the Holocaust instead.

The supermodel took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal she got a new tattoo in honor of her family members — something that cool moms do, according to the social media star — which features a string of small numbers along the inside of her forearm.

In the series of snaps, the 33-year-old proudly shows off closeup shots of the permanent ink featuring five birthdays in a classic font, including husband John Legend’s (12/28/78), daughter Luna’s (4/14/16), and son Miles’ (5/16/18).

Reactions to the new tat were overwhelmingly positive. Teigen’s Grammy winning husband commented, “The ultimate mnemonic device,” while David Spade joked, “I use these lotto numbers, too. Small world.”

But some people felt Chrissy’s ink reminded them too much of the Holocaust — which, as many know, saw Jewish concentration camp prisoners forced to have identification numbers tattooed on their forearms by Nazis and their sympathizers.

As one critic put it in Teigen’s comment section:

“Yikes really strong Holocaust vibes.”

We mean… not inaccurate!

Other fans wondered if the cookbook author knew she was evoking Holocaust vibes with her seemingly innocuous ink. Critics commented:

“Chrissy, I love you. I just wish people were more aware of the connection to the Holocaust when they elect to get forearm tattoos of numbers.”

“I think this would make any Jewish person very uncomfortable even if unintentionally.”

“Is anyone else a little bothered by the fact that she got a series of numbers on her forearm? Is the Holocaust really that far removed from our reality? Anyone??”

“Should have thought this one through.”

The Bring the Funny host has not responded to the Holocaust comparison, but she is definitely loving her new body art.

Hmmm… cool mom might have to endure a tattoo removal treatment after this controversy!

What do U think, Precious readers? Is Teigen’s tat a tad insensitive? Or are people overreacting? Share your thoughts in the comments!
