Columbus Short Sentenced To A Year In Jail For Domestic Violence

no title
If you do the crime, you’ve gotta do the time… and now, Columbus Short is going to do about a year in jail for his crimes against his current wife.
In a Los Angeles court on Friday afternoon, the former Scandal star pleaded no contest to hitting his current wife in an altercation back in November, and the actor was then sentenced to a year in jail for the deed by a judge.

According to prosecutors, Short struck wife Aida Abramyan during an argument the two were having, and physical battery is a serious no-no. Obviously.
Short also was sentenced to 36 months of probation, as well as domestic violence education.
You’ll remember, too, that Short had already been on probation over a 2014 bar fight where he knocked out a guy.
He’s also on probation for a previous domestic violence incident, in which he allegedly put a knife up to his ex-wife’s throat. Yikes.

Obviously, a year in jail (or, with good behavior, at least a few months) might do some good for Columbus Short.
We can only hope…
