Cyndi Lauper To Be Honored For LGBT Advocacy

Cyndi Lauper is going to be honored by the US government for her support of the LGBT community!
Specifically, the US Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration is honoring her for co-founding the True Colors Fund, which encourages people of all sexual orientations to help the LGBT community.
She’s going to be given the prize by the US Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius on National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day in Washington, D.C. on May 9.
So not only is she a timeless singer, she also is a fighter for human rights!
LBGT issues aren’t only for the LGBT community, they affect everyone so her trying to involve people of all sexual orientations is a great step froward towards widespread tolerance.
