Last year, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans watched as Denise Richards got married to a strapping, handsome hunk named Aaron Phypers.
For anyone who thought the passion they saw was played up for the cameras, we have news — if anything you were seeing them muted!

Denise dropped by the Daddy Issues podcast with hosts Dean McDermott, Adam Hunter, and Nicky Paris on Wednesday, and she got super candid about everything from her sex life to parenting to that wild Charlie Sheen Thanksgiving hooker story.
The most surprising tidbit? She and Aaron, a former actor who now works as a “frequency therapist” (don’t ask), are definitely still in that honeymoon phase!
They’ve been married since September and dated for a year before that. And yet…
“We have sex every day.”
Wow! Adam and Nicky balked at that statement, but the Starship Troopers star stood firm.
“Every day. Unless I’m out of town.”
The obvious question, what if one of the two is too tired that particularly night?
“We’re never too tired for it.”
Wow.
Denise explains:
“I think it’s important to be very connected. And especially after you have kids, too, I think a lot of times parents are tired, and if you go too long I think without that… Mom and Dad have to stay intact.”
The one host who wasn’t surprised is Dean, who said he and wife Tori Spelling ALSO have sex at least once a day — and have been that way since they met!
Damn. And they are far from newlywed. #RelationshipGoals, we guess!
In addition to speaking about her current husband, Denise also answered a burning question about her ex.
Nicky just had to get the story behind something Denise mentioned on Housewives a couple months ago — that she once invited Charlie Sheen’s hooker to Thanksgiving dinner with the family!
She regaled the hosts with the whole story, recalling:
“Charlie had come to Thanksgiving dinner… He just told me, ‘Hey, just want you to know, so-and-so is here, but don’t worry, she’s gonna be in the car in the driveway while we eat dinner.
I’m like, ‘Oh my god, I cannot have her just sitting in the driveway!'”
How did she explain who she was to the kids?
“We just told the kids that it was his other friend that was with him, that it was his assistant. My dad, who was seated next to her, sort-of-ish, he came up to me and said, ‘I think there’s something not right with that woman.’
I go, ‘OK, why do you say that?’
He says, ‘I keep trying to talk to her, and she doesn’t say anything, and I’m just being friendly, making conversation.’
I said, ‘Dad, dad, she’s a hooker, just don’t ask her any questions.'”
All in all, her poppa took it in stride. We guess this wasn’t the craziest thing that had happened having Charlie Sheen as a son-in-law.
Denise remembers:
“He was just like ‘That Charlie.’ And then he goes, ‘Well, that was nice of you to invite her in for dinner.'”
Speaking of parenting, Denise herself has been a parent for some time now — long enough to know the mistakes she’s made!
“I think the biggest mistake I made as a parent was giving my kids a phone.”
She says the goal was staying in touch, which she wishes she had accomplished by getting them old-fashioned flip phones instead of smart phones — because the real problem is the Internet!
“It is so hard to control the Internet on the phone, even putting things on there to block it, it doesn’t work… If I could go back and do anything over, it would definitely not give them a phone where they had access to social media and the Internet.”
And it’s not just about the girls getting exposed to awful things. It’s also about Denise getting exposed to them! For instance:
“They had heard that I was in Playboy. I didn’t even think they would know what that is because now kids can go on the Internet and see all kinds of things. So that, you know, having to explain that kind of stuff…
Luckily Denise isn’t at all ashamed of her Playboy spread. It could have been so much worse if she was!
But on that front, she says, her daughters are policing themselves!
“I don’t think they want to know certain things either… And you know, I put myself in their place, I wouldn’t want to read about certain things about my parents.”
Hear, hear!
