Oh COME ON!!
We are SO confused as to how anyone could believe anything like this, even one of the beloved (by many, but not all) guys on Duck Dynasty!
First, Phil Robertson was crystal clear to GQ on how he felt about homosexuality and the AMAZING people in that community, and who support that community (and how it’s sinful and super wrong)… and now he’s saying he’s pretty sure black people were happy and just fine before the civil rights movement!!
We aren’t joking. Seriously. Here’s what he said about pre-civil-rights-era Louisiana:
“I never, with my eyes, saw the mistreatment of any black person. Not once. Where we lived was all farmers. The blacks worked for the farmers. I hoed cotten with them. I’m with the blacks, because we’re white trash. They’re singing and happy. I never heard one of them, one black person, say, ‘I tell you what: These doggone white people’├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥not a word!… Pre-entitlement, pre-welfare, you say: Were they happy? They were godly; they were happy; no one was singing the blues.”
And that’s just about enough internet for one day, folks. Someone should take this guy’s national spotlight away!
We don’t even know what to say! Someone bring back that story about those puffins that are rebounding! That’s more our vibe!
