Eagles Of Death Metal Frontman Comes Out As Staunchly Pro-Gun A Day Before Returning To Paris

We’re a little shocked by his opinion on the matter.
It’s been 94 days since 89 people were shot to death at a concert inside Paris’ Bataclan theater, and now one man behind the show is speaking out about his controversial stance on gun control.
Eagles of Death Metal have already talked about their experience with the terrorist attack back in November, but frontman Jesse Hughes‘ latest solo interview reveals he is actually extremely pro-gun.

The band is set to return to Paris to finish their concert series Tuesday night, so Jesse sat down with iT├â┬⌐l├â┬⌐ to promote the show on Monday where he was especially critical of France’s gun control laws, saying:

“Gun control kind of doesn’t have anything to do with it, but if you want to bring it up I’ll ask you: did your French gun control stop a single f*cking person from dying at the Bataclan? If anyone can answer yes, I’d like to hear it. Because I don’t think so. I think the only think that stopped it is some of the bravest men that I’ve ever seen in my life charging head-first into the face of death with their firearms.
I think the only way my mind has been changed is maybe until nobody has guns, everybody has to have them. Because I don’t want to see anything like this ever happen again. And I want everyone to have the best chance to live. And I saw people die that maybe could have lived. But this doesn’t have anything to do with politics or gun control or anything like that. This has to do with rock ├óΓé¼╦£n’ roll.”

We get that he’s still reeling from the deaths, but we’re not sure having more guns at the concert would have helped anything.
Still, we’re hoping things go smoothly for their Olympia concert tonight.
