Steve Carell, Courteney Cox, & More Actors You Won't Believe Have NEVER Won An Emmy!

Steve Carrell, Courteney Cox, Kerry Washington no Emmys.

We demand a recount!

Just because an actor steals the show in a TV series doesn’t always mean a victory at the Emmys.

Sure, the Television Academy usually gives out Best Actor and Best Actress trophies to the most deserving performer — but sometimes that means not recognizing a just as (if not more) beloved talent.

This has been an issue throughout the history of TV awards; and with more and more shows being made each year, it’s only going to get worse!

Think we’re being too dramatic? Take a look at the stars who’ve never won an Emmy (below) to see just how serious this epidemic is — then prepare for the 2019 Emmys this Sunday, September 22 at 8 p.m. on FOX

Steve Carell

Steve Carrell never won an Emmy

He played the most iconic boss in TV history (sorry, Ricky Gervais), but The Office alum never earned an Emmy for it. He wasn’t completely unrecognized, though: Carell received nominations for the role for six straight years! Either way, his career hasn’t exactly suffered from the lack of Emmy love!

Calista Flockhart

Calista Flockhart has no Emmy

The actress received three nominations for her role as Ally McBeal, but never ended up taking home the statue. Maybe it was because the Academy wasn’t ready for a dramedy at the time? Things sure have changed now!

Hugh Laurie

Hugh Laurie has no Emmy.

The actor was nominated a whopping six times for playing the titular role of medical drama House. He also received nods in 2016 for Supporting Actor in The Night Manager and in 2017 for Guest Actor on Veep. Each year, he went home Emmy-less — but he was able to snag a few Golden Globes in the meantime.

Connie Britton

Connie Britton has no Emmy.

The actress has received four Emmy nominations over the years; one for Nashville, one for American Horror Story, and two for her turn as Tami Taylor on Friday Night Lights.

Jason Bateman

Jason Bateman has no Emmys.

The showbiz veteran never even received an Emmy nomination for playing Michael Bluth in Arrested Development, though the role did earn him a Golden Globe in 2005. But 2019 might be his year, as the star is nominated for two Emmys: a Best Actor nod for Ozark and a Best Director nod for Reparations!

Angela Lansbury

Angela Lansbury has no Emmys.

Here’s a mystery for you: how did this legend never win an Emmy, despite being nominated 18 times!? We have no answer for that — but at least the Murder, She Wrote star won four Golden Globes for her turn as amateur sleuth Jessica Fletcher.

Michael C. Hall

Michael C. Hall has no Emmy.

His killer performance in Dexter was enough to earn him five nominees (in addition to one nod for Six Feet Under), but the actor sadly never took home the gold. He did land a Golden Globe, though, which makes this slightly less of a crime.

Phylicia Rashad

Phylicia Rashad has no Emmys.

The beloved sitcom mom earned two nominations for playing B*ll C*sby’s better half in The C*sby Show, and another for A Raisin in the Sun in 2008. But, alas, she never took home the trophy. Hopefully that will change this year, as she’s nominated for Guest Actress for her work on This Is Us.

George Clooney

George Clooney has no Emmys.

The Cloonster technically won an Emmy in 2010 when he received the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award (like that counts…), but he was never crowned for his role as dashing doctor Doug Ross in E.R., despite two nominations. Hey, at least he didn’t get McDreamy’d

Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington has no Emmy.

We’d like to report a Scandal: K.Wash has never taken home an Emmy, despite being nominated twice for playing Olivia Pope and once for her work in 2016’s Confirmation. Shonda Rhimes have mercy on the Academy’s soul.

Keri Russell

Keri Russell has no Emmy.

Same with this Keri. The beloved actress was nominated three times for her work on The Americans, but was never victorious — and gurl never even received a nomination for Felicity!

Jason Alexander

Jason Alexander has no Emmy.

You’d think playing Lord of the Idiots in one of the most iconic sitcoms ever would earn this actor an Emmy, but sadly… no Emmys for George Costanza. He was nominated seven times for the role, but the Television Academy tended to favor Jason’s Seinfeld costar Michael Richards — aka Kramer.

Courteney Cox

Courteney Cox has no Emmys.

Not only has this sitcom darling never won an Emmy for playing Monica Gellar, she’s the only one of the Friends main cast who’s never been nominated for their role on the beloved show! We still love you, Mon.

Which actor are YOU most surprised to see on this list, Perezcious readers?
