VOTE: Thumps Up Or Poop? Tell Us What You Think Of The First Emoji Movie Trailer!

Two decades ago, Toy Story gave a glimpse on what goes on inside a child’s room when they’re not around.
But since most children nowadays entertain themselves via their parents’ smartphones, now we’re blessed with films like The Emoji Movie!
The first teaser of the Sony Animation film is launched with the help of Mel Meh (Steven Wright), father of the lead character whose faux-excitement probably reflects how most people feel about this movie concept.
While the teaser doesn’t give away much, the story takes place in Textopolis, a city (hidden inside your phone, duh!) where all the emojis live, hoping to be selected by the phone’s user.

Each emoji in this land has only one facial expression, except for the multi-faceted Gene (T.J. Miller), who was born without a filter. With the help of his friends (James Corden and Illana Glazer), Gene ventures through various phone apps to find the Code that will fix him.
Sounds like a mix of Wreck-It Ralph and Angry Birds — which could either be a thumbs up emoji or a steaming pile of sh*t emoji.
